I always wanted one website that held everything: a links page, a portfolio, and a store, all on the same domain, without paying for a stack of other sites just to look like I had an online presence. As I mentioned in a previous post, Beacons.ai and Linktree worked for a while and got me a page fast, but they also charged me, and I was tired of being so limited in the look and customization.

Cursor (not sponsored, but please do, Cursor, because I LOVE YOU) let me build the whole thing myself, for free, without renting a no-code tool every time I wanted the page to do something specific. I describe what I want, it writes the code, I push back when it gets weird, and we keep going until it looks like the site in my head. And it finally fucking does.

One design idea kept coming back to me: a toggle. Almost every entertainment and media company sells products and merch alongside the media it creates, so I wanted to build that into my own site, too. I’m a big fan of Selena Gomez, and I liked the design of her website, so I borrowed from it and worked it into my own look. I never liked the setup where the shop looks like a different person from the portfolio and the links page belongs to a third brand entirely. Everything I create in my studio gives the store a reason to exist.

A few smaller things went in before I called it done. I like pop culture enough that I put a news ticker in the menu, so the command center feels like something that’s actually on instead of a static list of links. Categories got a weather widget up top. It’s a small thing, but it makes the page feel like a place with a time of day.

BLOOP also has a live chat feature now. It runs through Telegram, so people can ask me about my website and studio, or about a product: what it is and what’s in it. I don’t do customer service, though. Orders, refunds, shipping, and all of that sit with Fourthwall, since they’re the merchant of record.

The part I’m even more excited about is the links page. Over the next few months, the theme changes daily, especially with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas coming up, plus my biggest excitement of all: Avengers: Doomsday. Same page, just with a lot more flavor. If you only open it once out of curiosity, open it again on another day, because yesterday’s version will already be gone.

I’m really happy with how it turned out. I HATED using crappy website builders that were way too slow, too restrictive, and didn’t let me express my creativity. Now I’ve discovered just how much life there is in code and how much I love it. I can honestly say I’m addicted to using Cursor every day.

Peace.
